5 Ugandan Musicians That Have Managed To Stay Relevant

Music, especially Ugandan Music is not everyone’s cup of tea. We have seen musicians whose careers were shorter than their ankle socks. To produce music is one thing and to produce good music is another. Uganda has always been criticized of having more musicians than the fans. There are those musicians that have stood the test of time

  1. Jose Chameleone

He started off his music career in Kenya with the likes of Redsan. Chameleone has been in the music industry for almost two decades and is still on top of his game. From Valu Valu, Badilishe, Tubonge, Wale Wale, Chameleone is still the guy to beat. Those who hate on Chameleone don’t have a reason to do so.

  1. Maurice Kirya

He is probably the most underated musician in Uganda. Kirya, is the complete musician. He evokes emotion in his music. Ugandans don’t really appreciate Kirya as much as they are supposed to. Kirya is arguably the best performer in Uganda and he has been around for as long as i can remember.

His career has been associated with never ending controversies. That however doesn’t knock his shine. Bebe cool as we know is a reggae artist but he pulled a first one on rock and killed it completely. Who knew Bebe cool sing rock music. He has been a round and he understands the industry. One needs to re-invent in order to remain relevant.
