President Museveni Awarded With The Highest Military Medal For The Most Outrageous Reason As His Brother Gets Second Highest Medal

President Yoweri Museveni has been awarded with the highest military medal in Uganda, the “Order of Katonga” as the country celebrated Heroes Day in Buikwe.

The award was presented for Museveni for his role building of the National Resistance Army (NRA) and National Resistance Movement (NRM) that toppled Milton Obote’s government.

The irony is that Museveni is awarded for using guerilla warfare to ascend to power while Kizza Besigye gets imprisoned for using a democratic process to try to win the presidency.

Museveni’s brother, Salim Saleh, was also feted. Saleh who fought with his brother during their time in the bush was awarded with the second highest medal the “Kabalega Medal”.

Museveni was also the chief guest at this year’s Heroes Day cerebrations in Buikwe District where he was handed the Order of Katonga medal by Chief Justice Bart Katureebe.
