“Gospel Music Has Swag, We Live Better, Drive Better” The Pioneer Of Contemporary Gospel Music In Uganda Brags

George Lubega Timothy aka Exodus has revealed gospel musicians are living big compared to previous years.

Exodus is the father of contemporary gospel music in Uganda. He made his musical debut in 2004 with his hit single “Ganja Man” which did exceptionally well in Kenya and Uganda.

Speaking at the Uganda Entertainment Awards last Friday, the gospel king disclosed starting off as a gospel singer was not a bed of roses.

Exodus said he used to be ridiculed being a gospel artist. He’s however grateful that gospel artists are now living big like their secular counterparts.

“There was a time when gospel was a thing to be ashamed of in the main stream. Today Gospel music has swag, we live better, drive better. The sky is the limit. God Bless you, we love you.” Exodus told the crowd.
